Irina Getmanskaya

Was born January 6, 1939 in Leningrad (St.Petersburg). In 1950 - 57 she learned at the Art School. In 1958 she was enrolled to the Repin Institute (Academy of Arts) and finished it in 1964 (masters V.M. Oreshnikov, B.S. Ugarov).

Since 1965 she has participated in numerous exhibitions, many years (till 1989) worked at Arts Fund ("Hudfond"). From 1967 to 1975 she teached at Mukhina college of Arts (Department of Painting, also Department of Drawing).

Participated in many art expeditions in all corners of the Soviet Union: Kandalaksha, Ural, Krasnoyarsk, Middle Asia: Kirgizia, Samarkand, Tashkent and other places.

Since 1975 - member of the Leningrad Union of Artists.

Many of her works are in museums, theaters and private collections all over the world.

Now active in St.Petersburg.
